The challenge
Brennhaven’s main terminal was close to capacity and a new berth was six years away. Crane productivity varied by 30% between shifts, and nobody could say why.

What we did
We spent three weeks on the quay with crane drivers and planners, timing every move. Together we rebuilt the vessel stowage plan, changed the shift handover and gave planners a live view of yard congestion.

What changed
Crane moves per hour rose 14% in five months and have held for a year. The terminal handled a record peak season with no new equipment.
